Read here about the Action Plan and Scenarios of the participating cities!
The main objective is to prepare an action plan for developing SUMP scenarios in each of the case study areas (selected for the reviews). The process of developing alternative SUMP scenarios is facilitated by the establishment of a “Task Force” in each case-study area, in which the civil society will be asked to participate along representatives of the partners and the municipal authority, and “key” individuals with influence in the local communities.
The Task Force started its operation in each of the cities. Their task is to prepeare alternative scenarios and produce a joint “Action Plan” for the consolidation and implementation of a SUMP in each case study area, ensurig the engagement of local inhabitants.
The impact expected by this Output is directly linked to the citizen’s involvement in local decisions (in this case, decisions on sustainable mobility). The operation of the Task Force throughout the duration of the project creates an important precedent for active involvement of citizens in planning decision, which it is hoped to sustain after the end of the project as well. Besides, an impact is expected on higher education, bringing it closer to the needs of the local communities and using the input by local inhabitants as an education component.
